Italy is Coming to the City!!

pizza-maker-ginoGino Sorbillo does it again! He opened up his pizzeria Sorbillo NYC in the end of September! This is Sorbillo’s second restaurant as his first one is, Zia Esterina! Zia Esterina opened in Little Italy earlier this year!

This pizzeria has approximately 60 seats and a large bar. Sorbillo NYC is located in the East Village.

A Taste of the Mediterranean sea in NYC

Shuka, a new Mediterranean restaurant, opened up on September 8th! This restaurant serves everything Mediterranean in a very aesthetically pleasing way! Pictured below is the front page of their website!

Shuka serves brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, and drinks! Some of the food they serve include falafel, mezzes and dips, such as labne, beet hummus with nigella seeds and tzatziki with fennel pollen.

Located in NYC, the interior of this restaurant is filled with over sized photographs that make the whole space feel like a farm house. There is also a garden in the back of the restaurant that will make customers feel like they are in their own backyard.

Shuka is the perfect place for a date, just a casual dinner with friends, or a nice catch up lunch with some of your family.​ It currently has five out of five stars on Timeout.com

Ramen the right way!

Ramen has been around for a long time! Typically, the instant ramen is the most common in America. Tonchin opened its door in late November.

It is a spinoff of a ramen shop founded in Tokyo in 1992. Tonchin will be located in midtown in NYC and will serve traditional Tokyo-style dishes. This NYC location is one of 16 locations across Japan, Taiwan, and Shanghai. Additionally, the Sugeno family owns and operates another 70+ restaurants throughout Asia. The sons of the founder will be the ones running this restaurant in NYC.

Tonchin serves elevated yet approachable dekitate fare, meaning everything on the menu is freshly prepared in-house with thoughtful attention to even the most subtle details. Although it is a new restaurant, it has 32 reviews on Yelp and a 4.5/5 stars rating.

Achatz does the undone once again! At The Aviary, you can have a interactive experience as the inventive cocktails and small food plates complement the drink experience. The Aviary offers an all-day menu where the food and drinks are presented in unexpected ways.

If you’ve been told that you can not have it all, you have heard wrong. Raviolo is a brand new restaurant that opened on September 6th in NYC.

This restaurant is quirky and fun and offers yummy and authentic Italian dishes that have been reinvented and redesigned. The owner Paolo Mergalli had a vision of creating dishes that have never been seen before! It’s known as “Italian Dim Sum” or ravioli.
